【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesaproceduretobeusedinevaluatingtheantimicrobialpreservativeactivityofallpreservedmultidosecontactlenscareproducts,andprovidesguidanceonmethodstobeusedfordeterminationofdiscarddateasinformativeannexes.Thistestisapplicabletoproductsforuptoa28-daydiscarddate.Thetestisnotapplicabletosterileproductspackagedinunitdosesforsingleuseormultidosecontainersdesignedwithphysicalbarrierstomicrobialcontamination(e.g.aerosolcontainers).NOTE1Principlesofthetestmaybeusedtoextenddiscarddatingbeyond28days.SeeannexesB,C,DandE.NOTE2Useofmultipleormixedmicrobialchallengesand/orinclusionofcontactlensesorotherorganicloadcaninfluencetheapparentantimicrobialactivityofaparticularproduct.Theevaluationofthesevariablestogetherwithtestingagainstalargerpanelofmicroorganismsandtestingofsamplesfrompartiallyusedcontainersmaybeofvalueindevelopingacontactlenscareproduct,butareexcludedfromthescopeofthisInternationalStandard.
